A venomous glare graces China's features, one not seen often by anyone. Japan's face remains solemn, standing with his perfect composure as the elder nation scolds him. "I thought I taught you better aru." Tears threaten to fall from the Chinese man's eyes but he manages to hold back. His hair, not tied in its usual pony tail, pools over his shoulders. He shakes with withheld sobs, fists clenched tightly at his sides. He can practically feel his scar burning in his back. "I-I……. I loved you, showed you nothing but affection, even though you turned around and stabbed me in the back. Almost literally and still, you don't even have the decency to apologize aru." His anger rises even more as the stoic male still says nothing and shows no emotion whatsoever. "What's worse is that you apologized to all of the other's. You avoid apologizing to me as if your life depends on it. Korea and a majority of the other East Asia countries but not me…" He closes his eyes tightly to resist the tears that try even harder to fall.

"What about Kiichi Miyazawa? He proposed a formal apology to you." The Jap finally speaks up, causing China to jump a little and open his eyes.

"He's not even the Prime Minister, how does that qualify aru?!" He barks angrily.

"And the Joint Communique of 1972?" Japan averts his eyes from his broken mentor.

"That was a treaty, not an apology! Do you know what World War II did to my people? We suffered more than ever before! And yet the rest of the world forgets. They focus on Germany's past, and no one remembers what you did to me aru!" China's nails dig into his palms, sending sharp pain through his hands.

"What about in 1904, when I fought Russia for you in the Russo-Japanese war?" Japan whispers softly and his eyes still can't meet the elder's. "Why are you being so technical?"
"I told you." China slowly sinks to the floor, hiding in the curtain of his hair as he finally begins to cry. "I want us to get along like we used to. I love you." His finally words are drowned in a barrage of sobs and Japan, turns with one last look at the shattered elder nation, his body racked with emotion, and he walks away.
Ok, I'm currently doing a project for history as kind of a final thing on the relations of China and Japan.

As of 2005, a quarrel was still going on between them as Japan supposedly never Formally apologized for their actions in WWII.

In WWII: During the occupation of China, the Japanese Imperial Army killed an estimated 10 million civilians and 2.5 million soldiers in China alone. The Chinese government officially claimed that 30 million of its citizens were killed by the Japanese. History textbooks in Japan don't tell the whole story of the atrocities that happened, a general claim from Japan was said that no apology was offered as China would not accept in anyway.

To be honest, I'm still working to learn the current relation status as this info was from 2005 as I said, I'm not sure if they ever came to an agreement. But, the Chinese government claimed to have never received an appropriate apology: always finding an excuse:
~The few mentioned in the story
~A speech on foreign policy, not directed at PRC
~Not direct from government to government, also private, not public
etc~ The list goes on~
OK History lesson is over! WOW! I wrote a Hetalia story that was about actual history?!?! WOO! *Mystic-Pony were talking about this as she is learning about WWII in history and I'm doing this project =D So, I had to write this! And a little update, I have a LietPol roleplay between me and again, *Mystic-Pony and a co write we're working on. I finished the smutty chapter of "What the Hell" and will have that up soon but I'm too tired at the moment (yeah, but I can rant about history XD fail) so yeah, that's it ^^

Eh, well. Tons of Japanese still like to deny or water down what happened. I mean, the Germans lived in some silent national shame for years, but Japan? Scot-free. If you read about more incidents of the denial or watering down, well...

Anyways. Um...I think it might be a bit politically incorrect to call Kiku a "Jap." And China's "aru" might be a bit tasteless considering the context here; it is a Japanese stereotype and it just sort of bothers me personally. And, ah, China and Japan have had an old rivalry -- the Ming Dynasty, for one -- but that clashes with the canon, with China being infinitely kind and tolerating whatever he thought was cheek from Japan.

Otherwise...well, you confront the matters. You get your point across. You get the anguish and the pain through. I like that about this. A lot.
